A Girls' Weekend in Berlin

I recently (OK, it was like two months ago, and yes, I am definitely the worst kind of blogger), I headed to Berlin for a girl's weekend. It was initially a bachelorette weekend for one of my girlfriends, but one thing led to another and it ended up just being a regular old girl's trip. In one of the best cities in the world.

We didn't have a ton of time, but we managed to see a lot of the city during a bike tour with Fat Tire Tours. It was great, and totally worth the bruised butts we had the next day, haha. The tour covered most of the major sights in the city, and as nerve-wracking as it was for me to ride my bike on the road (in Dubai, I only ride on bike tracks where cars aren't allowed), it was an amazing way to get around the city.

I think if we had to pick our favorite part of the trip, it would be the food. We basically ate our way through Berlin, including an amazing vegan brunch at Kopps, crazy good Mexican food at Santa Maria, and more than one fantastic Indian meal at Bombay. Ooh and breakfast at House of Small Wonder which, while small, is probably one of the most instagrammable restaurants in the city.

We also hit up Museum Island and the Pergamon Museum, and the flea market (which I had to force myself to leave because girlfriend loves her vintage-looking silver jewelry). We rented an Air BnB apartment in Friedrichshain, which was pretty central, so getting everywhere was like a 10-15 minute Uber ride. We did take the train a couple of times, once during the day and once at night, after a little too much fun. It was pretty easy to use once we figured it out, and we didn't really feel unsafe at all.

Anyway, here are some of the highlights of the trip. Woop woooop #babesinberlin
