FOTD with Boots no 7 (and A Sneaky Giveaway!)

If it looks like I have blue streaks in my hair, that's because I do! LOL. I was playing around with some dye. Oh  yeah, and I'm a blonde now!
We all have bad days and good days. Since launching Hello Pretty , I've been insanely busy and some days it gets to the point where I am completely overwhelmed and can't even tell my feet from my head. And then I get a beautiful delivery like this incredibly generous one from Boots, and it makes everything OK again.

Seriously? Hello, happiness!
Boots Middle East sent over a bunch of their best-selling products for me to try out, and of course, I headed straight for the makeup. It had been a while since I wore a smokey eye (and I generally tend to avoid color), so I decided a blue smokey eye was in order. (Sorry about the photo quality of these pictures, I couldn't figure out how to work the timer on my camera, so I used my phone #bloggerproblems, amirite?)

I used the blue shadow from the No 7 Stay Perfect 'Bejewelled' Trio Eye Shadow Palette. It's a gorgeous, multi-dimensional dark blue with a hint of shimmer in it, so it works beautifully at night. The shadow has great color payoff and lasted all night (although, I did apply it over my Urban Decay Primer Potion).

I lined my eyes with No 7 Stay Precise Felt Tip Eyeliner. I tried this before and wasn't totally in love. But Luanne convinced me to give it another go, so I did and it worked! It's not the darkest liner I've ever used, but the felt tip makes it super easy to use and it got the job done.

Finally, a couple coats of No 7 Fanomenal Lashes Mascara finished off the look. The mascara really impressed me. It didn't smudge or wear off, and it separated and defined my lashes really well. I think I'll be buying another when this one is done.

I also used  No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer over my cheek bones and along my temples. It comes with varying shades of bronzer and pink blush, so I used the blush on my cheeks. And I used the No 7 Skin Illuminator which I LOVE! You can't tell very well from the pictures, but in real life and in other photos, the light really picked up the highlighter and it gave me such a gorgeous glow. The only downside is the packaging. It comes with an attached brush, but the brush is a little too big for me so I just apply it to my hand and then use a fluffy brush to apply it to my face. It would be great if it came in a little pump bottle!

All in all, I am pretty freaking impressed with these products. No 7 was a brand that I always kind of overlooked, and I'm not totally sure why. Now that I've had the chance to try some of their stuff out, I think they're really great value. I still haven't had a chance to try everything else out, so look for those reviews soon :)

Have you tried No 7 products before? What did you think?

PS I really loved the Barry M polish shades that they sent over. So much, in fact, that I decided to grab some more and have a giveaway. Pop over to my Instagram (@hello.aseya) for more details!
