Halloween Nails (For Grownups)
Halloween is in a couple of days, which means I should be scrambling to get a costume together. But I'm pretty sure that I'm going to end up going as 'Angry, Moody, Procrastinator Girl' once again, so I should be good to go!
Instead, I decided to take this time and get a little festive with my nails. Bourjois has a new Halloween Collection out, full of shiny dark polishes and lots of gold glitter. Forget the Sexy Nurse, sexy nails are where it's at this year!
I used two coats of Dolce and Gabanna Peacock. It's a gorgeous, inky, midnight blue and it is a great alternative to black polish. The gold glitter is courtesy of Bourjois Enchanting Potion* (gotta love that name!), a beautiful gold glitter in a gel-polish base. I love how big the glitter flecks are, they make the polish look more 'fiery and fun' than 'dainty and girlie'. I couldn't decide whether I liked the glitter more at the bottom of my nail or the top, so I did both :)
I finished off with a coat of my current favorite topcoat, Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri*, and voila! Halloween nails that are fun and so-not-boring, yet look slightly more appropriate on a woman approaching her thirties (no matter how hard she is trying to deny that!). It's all about the balance, right? ;)
Pssstt...what are you going as this year?
