My Beauty Haul from Manila (part one)

Hello lovelies!

Remember me? I used to blog quite regularly(ish) and then I got distracted by vacation and work and all that jazz. I'm back though! Yay!

I have a ton of awesome posts (and maybe a video and giveaway or two!) coming up soon, but I thought I would start things off by sharing some of the things I bought while I was away. I spent ten days in Manila this month, and I know most people don't like that city...it's crowded, it's so hot and it's pretty muggy...but there is a TON of shopping there and I find it cheaper than Bangkok, so I'm usually pretty happy there!

I've got a bunch of things to show you, so let's get started!

Celetque Facial Wash, Acne Spot Gel, Mattifying Sun Protection, Oil Control Toner and Brightening Eye Cream
Being a traveling beauty junkie does teach you things. Like, I am obsessed with trying out new skin care products and I've learned to buy products almost as soon as I land. That way I have time to try them out and stock up before I head home.

I needed a new face wash and everything sort of grew from there. The face wash was great, but I did notice that it dried my skin out a little. The acne gel is amazing - it doesn't sting and it really works! The Sunscreen and toner didn't impress me, but I'm willing to give them another chance now that I'm home. The Eye Tuck Eye Cream is AMAZING! It is so rich and hydrating (and cheap!) I went back and bought back ups of the eye cream and acne gel.

Lander Restoring Body Lotion, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Gloss, Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub
I tried to pack light when I was heading to the Philippines, so I didn't take any lotion. I grabbed the Lander one on my first day and was pretty impressed! It was super cheap, but it was incredibly hydrating and it smelled amazing!!

The Palmer's Body gloss is perfect for summer, it's got tiny little illuminators (rather than full on glitter) so your skin just sort of glows. I've been using it a lot, now that it's summer and my legs are on display!

My sister recommended the Lulur scrub. I've tried it once and it seems like it's got a really nice texture.

Elf Complete Coverage Concealer for Darker Skin, Elf Contouring Brush and Bronzing Cream, Elf Corrective Concealer
I love that they sell Elf everywhere! I wanted to buy more, but the truth is, my collection at home is already getting way out of control, so I really tried to contain myself. I bought the concealer palettes for my makeup kit and I thought the cream blush and bronzer would come in handy in sticky weather.

Caress Black Nail Art Pen, BYS Neon Orange, BYS Hot Pink, MAC Tropical, Orly Devil May Care
I bought the MAC polish from the Duty Free. It is from the Temperature Rising collection and I was like 'bronze glitter?!?! SOLD!' haha

The neons are ones that my sister bought while we were there and decided she didn't want. I, however, have a serious soft spot for neon polish, so I grabbed them!

Orly Devil May Care is a gorgeous, glittery red that I just had to have! I think it will look great with some nail art. I haven't tried the nail art pen yet, but I will post pics as soon as I do :)

OK, so it turns out that I actually bought a lot more than I thought I did! I'm going to have to share the other pictures tomorrow, since I don't wanna bore you guys too much!

Have you been on vacation recently? What were your favorite purchases?

  6. For people outside US or in US, you can get Real Techniques Brushes and ELF on iHerb (http://www.iherb.com?rcode=GFZ472) for the U.S. price. Use code GFZ472 to get $5 off your first purchase of less than $40 and $10 off for purchases $40 and more (I get reward points if you use my code). The shipping charge is really low too ($12) and the package arrives within 3-5 days for international shipping and almost next day shipping for US. :) Hope this helps some of you in getting these brushes.
