Aaaahh. OK, so I've been pretty MIA lately. But I had a good reason, I promise!
I spent my birthday (less than 30, more than 28 *sob* ) in London. Which was really, super duper fun. I was there for a week and it was the first time I've been there in about 15 years. Yes, it was pretty cold! But I was really lucky because it didn't rain at all and it was pretty sunny most of the time! I totally made good on my promise to bring Dubai to London!
I'm probably going to do a haul post soon, although I had to bring back my new roller derby skates so I didn't have a lot of space or weight for tons of shopping. I didn't even take a lot of photos. My camera didn't fit into my bag and there were times where I was just too busyenjoying myself shopping and eating to think of taking pictures. But here are some that I took on days when I remembered to use my camera!
Before I do that...I'm kinda blonde now! Thanks to my awesome super-stylist friend, I have bleached out ends. This isn't even the finished look, but I am totally in love with it! The blonde really brightens up my face, but the dark roots make it feel a little more grungy. One of my friends described it as 'filthy gorgeous', which I loved!
And now for a few pictures of London! We generally avoided the big touristy spots, but managed to spend a day in Southbank before heading to the Tate Modern for the Lichtenstein exhibit. It was FANTASTIC! I wanted to spend all day there. I just love the way museums smell. Haha is that weird?
I also got myself a birthday present...a new piercing! I've been wanting one like this for ages, but we don't have many licensed body piercers in Dubai so I decided to wait until I got to London. I got it done by Manuel at Metal Morphosis in Topshop Oxford Circus. It was a bit more expensive than other places I found online, but it was worth it! I honestly barely felt it at all! I was so surprised. It's a bit tender now, but I only feel it if I accidentally touch it.
I am back in the UK in August and I hope to make another stop in London then so if you guys have any suggestions on what to do, please let me know! :)

You look great blonde! I went to London when I was like ten years old but I loved it! I am so jealous of you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sofia! London's definitely a great place to spend a vacation. I was worried I wouldn't like it as I am much more of a beach-holiday type of person, but it was really fun :)
ReplyDeleteVery few pictures. . Can't wait to see haul post. Belated happy birthday darling. My husband just came back from London n he was sick and tired of visiting museums. Hahahahahahhaa :-)
ReplyDeleteYes I love the piercing and you look great blonde ♥
ReplyDeleteLight hair looks great on you! It really suits you. I miss London so bad! I can't wait to go back again. I'll try to get myself a job there, but I need a buddy to go with me to share the accomodation expenses. London is crazy expensive. :D
ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it? I managed to spend so much money! I don't know if I'd like to live there, it's a bit too busy for me. But I'd love to spend my summer there :)
ReplyDeleteNot only do you seem to have lost alot of weight (or atleast from what I could tell from your face pic) but I easily assumed you to be between 26-27, definetly not over 28.
ReplyDeletehope you had fun!
