Would You Like an Adorable Kitten? Meet Jett!

Hello there. Remember me?

I know I've been MIA for a while, but things have been super busy and not-so-wonderful over here. My grandfather recently passed away and it's been a little difficult for me to get on with things like blogging. As much as I love blogging, I think it can be overwhelming at times and seem like a full time job, and I think I needed to take a little break and process all of my emotions.

But I am back now! :)

Which brings me to today's post. I was driving back from my grandfather's house and had to pick up some groceries and go to the pharmacy. So, I parked my car, got out and heard a little squeaking noise. I couldn't find where it was coming from, so I assumed it was from a mouse that had scurried away. Then I turned around and found this little guy popping out from under my car!

I just couldn't resist that face!

So here was this little kitten squeaking at me. I thought he was hungry, so I went and got some bread out of the groceries. He didn't want to eat, he just wanted to play! He kept jumping over my feet and rubbing his face against my leg. I finally made it to the pharmacy and he just sat outside the door, waiting for me!

Needless to say, he ended up coming home with me. The pharmacist was so sweet, he brought out a box and cut some holes in it so we had something to carry him in.

The plan was to take the kitten (which I thought was a girl) home and then take it to a shelter in the morning. Well, it turns out he's a boy and also, a lot of shelters in Dubai don't actually accept cats or dogs. I know!!

So I contacted Feline Friends and they were lovely. They said that if I could foster Jett, they would cover the cost of his vaccinations and check up.

He has his first set of vaccinations next weekend (he was too young when I took him in last week) and is currently living in my bathroom because he can't be around the other cats until he is fully vaccinated. He has had a checkup. Turns out, he's two years old and healthy!

Ooh, Scratching Post. I will conquer you!!

Almost got it!
The problem is that we currently have three cats at home. I, of course, have this little guy, and my sister has two cats that she brought with her when she moved back from Australia.

I'd really love to place him in a loving home as soon as possible. As I mentioned, he is living in my bathroom and it doesn't really have enough room for him to run around and play in.

He's just the sweetest cat! When I first met him I thought he was just hungry or starved for attention, but he's just got a very friendly, loving personality. He has tons of energy and is very chatty! It's really cute because he is still learning how to jump really high and stuff. I picked him up one day and he freaked out because it was the first time someone had picked him up. But he just LOVES it now and will sit at my feet and meow until I pick him up and cuddle.

So, if you or anyone you know would like to adopt him, PLEASE let me know!! Feline Friends do ask for a donation to cover the vet costs, but it does work out to be cheaper than what you would pay yourself. He's just the sweetest little cat and I really want him to go and live with a great family as soon as possible!

I mean, how can you say no to this face??

He climbed up on my shoulder and spotted himself in my camera!

  1. He is sooo cute! I wish I could adopt him :( but I'm too far away! x

  2. N'awww isn't he the sweetest. I really hope you get him good home, I know I live miles and miles away in Scotland but if there is anything I can do to help just let me know and it is done!

  3. Awww thank you!! I actually found someone who can adopt him, but she can't take him until next month, so he's with me till then! I am trying to distance myself, but it's not working. He's too cute!!

Thank you for leaving a comment! :)
