Hair Woes (And possibly an answer?)

Ah, my hair. My hair and I have had our issues and I'd like to think that we've put them aside (for now at least) After tons of changes to my color, cut and style, I am finally at a place where I am happy and don't feel the urge to reach for the scissors or bleach. My hair has been black for almost a year now, after being brown, blonde and bright red (in the span of six months). Let's see how long that lasts!

The problem is that my hair tends to hold on to memories.  Mainly in the form of dryness, frizz and damage. You could say that it likes to hold a grudge.

Case(s) in point:

Geez, it's like Attack of the 60 Foot Frizz Monster. Raise your hands if you feel me.

As you can see, the recurring theme is dry, damaged, frizzy, porous hair, which is why it usually ends up in a braid or topknot. My hair isn't the worst, but it could definitely use a little (or a LOT) of help.

A lot of this frizz is due to the climate. It's no surprise that Dubai (being a desert right next to the beach) is incredibly humid. But a lot of it is really due to poor hair health :( Between all the bleaching, dyeing, blowdrying, curling and dyeing again, it's not hard to see why my hair is in the state it is in.

Right now, I'm really working on making amends with my hair. I just want it to love me, gosh darn-it! I know that using the right products will help make my hair softer, sleeker and shinier (yay!)

So, you can imagine how excited I was to find a hair care package on my doorstep the other day! I can't really tell you guys much about it, except that it's a super-secret, brand new range of products specifically for dry and damaged hair.

Is it working? I've only tried one product so far and I'm loving it!! My hair feels so much softer and stays smoother for longer. Fingers crossed that the rest of the range works as well. I promise to update you guys ASAP, so make sure you check back for the big reveal and my final reviews. I'm really excited to see how this turns out!

  1. I can't wait for the update! I have exactly the same problem. My hair is super frizzy and dry. No product seems to help me...
