Get the Look: Emma Stone at the MTV Movie Awards 2012
One of the things that I love about makeup is that it's a lot more accessible than fashion. While not all of us can afford to splurge on a pair of designer shoes we saw on a celebrity, we can pretty easily save up and buy that beautiful lipstick we heard she was wearing.
What's even better than that is when I find out that a celebrity's wearing drugstore makeup! It's very exciting to me, it's like 'hey, they really are just like us!' and it proves that sometimes drugstore brands are just as good as high end brands.
Case in point, Emma Stone at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Emma always looks lovely, but I especially loved her makeup at the awards. So I was pretty excited when I got an email from Revlon telling me exactly what products were used and how!
You may know that Emma Stone is a global brand ambassador for Revlon. She had her makeup done for the MTV Awards by Rachel Goodwin who is Chanel's celebrity makeup artist.
Rachel said the lip was the focal point of the look and she paired it with a classic eye defined with liquid liner. For the skin, rachel 'Wanted it to look as if Emma had spent a day at the beach - slightly sun kissed with a flush of color on her cheeks. To capture this I used a foundation two shades darker than her normal skin tone, adding a touch of cream blush to the apples of cheeks'.
And here's the list of all the products that Rachel used!
Chanel Le Blanc Sheer Illuminating Base
Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup, Nude (Dhs80)
Chanel Natural Finish Powder
Chanel Powder Blush In Love
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Linder in Blackest Black (Dhs68)
Chanel Quardra Eye Shadow, Prelude
Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara, Blackest Black (Dhs51)
Chanel Sculpting Eye Brow Pencil, Brun Natural
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter, Sweet Tart (Dhs48)
Revlon's Lip Butters and Airbrush Mousse Makeup are both new on the market over here. I can't wait to try out the Lip Butters as I've heard so many great things about them and this one especially looks gorgeous!
What do you guys think of Emma's makeup? Do you get as excited about celebrity how-tos as I do?
