Benefit Sun Beam

 Benefit Sun Beam

Benefit describes Sun Beam as "liquid sunshine in a bottle"...and I have to say that I 100% agree.

A friend of mine recently pointed out that I was obsessed with highlighters and yeah, she's totally right. I love highlighters! I love the way they instantly brighten up my face and make everyone look instantly prettier.

In fact, I was so in love with Benefit's last highlighter, Watt's Up, that I was sure Sun Beam would just be a disappointment.

Just a warning, these pictures were all taken separately, so please excuse the differences!

I was wrong. Sun Beam is a stunning (STUNNING) highlighter. I feel like Sun Beam is kind of like Watt's Up's older, more sophisticated sister. While Watt's Up provides a gorgeous, subtle, lit-from-within glow, Sun Beam gives you that kind of luxe, beach-chic highlight.

Sun Beam works amazingly on darker skin. It pulls out all the natural gold that is already there. Also, the liquid texture and super fine shimmer allow you to wear as little or as much of it as you like.

I've been teaming it a lot with a summer-red lip. My summer reds are a little bit more orange based than my winter reds and the warmer tones look amazing with this subtle gold highlighter.

Of course, you can't just take my word for it, so here are some pictures!

Sun Beam can be applied over or under makeup, and it can be mixed in with your foundation or moisturizer. It costs 123 dirhams for 13mls and can be found at Sephora or Faces.
What do you guys think? Have you tried this already? Sun Beam is definitely on my Summer-Must-Have list!

  1. Ooh this does look pretty! I have High Beam and, while it's pretty, I think it works much better on lighter skin tones. Would you recommend this over Watts Up?

  2. I would love to try that. I've been using Benefit's High beam and so far so good. Sephora Middle East should come out with travel size versions too so we can try it out first before venturing into buying a full sized one. :)

  9.  I think it would definitely work well with a bronzer. Plus, it's quite light textured so you can apply it really sheer as well :)
