Sunday, April 1, 2012 Benefit Hervana

Benefit has released a slew of awesome products recently and, unfortunately, I think this blush may have been lost in it all.

Hervana is a very pretty blush, it's a mix of four shades; Lucky Shell, Divine Peach, Heavenly Rose and Berry Delight. The resulting mix is what Benefit calls "a heavenly orchid-blossom flush".

The blush comes with it's own little brush

Now, this is the first Benefit blush that I've tried, so I don't really have anything to compare it to...but the little brush that comes with it is great! It's pretty dense and super soft. I didn't think it would work that well because it's pretty flat, but I guess they know what they're doing! It picks up just the right amount of blush and deposits it right where you need it most, allowing you to perfectly shape your cheeks.

So pretty!

A swatch of all four shades swirled together

I swatched this blush onto my arm before trying it out on my face, and I thought it would look a little chalky when I wore it. However, on the face, Hervana translates into a beautiful glowy flush.

Benefit recommends teaming Hervana with their Hoola bronzing powder. Use Hoola as a contour under your cheeks or around the outer edges of your face, and swirl Hervana onto your cheeks for a perfectly sculpted, glowy look.

Have any of you tried this blush?

  13. Aww! Thanks Sara, that's so sweet of you to say! It does actually show up on darker skin. I've worn it on myself and it doesn't show up totally pink, but it gives the skin a really pretty glow :)
