Pretty at...Fekkai Event

Some of the products we were shown

A few days ago, I went to an event for Fekkai at the Address, Dubai Marina. For those of you who don't know, Fekkai is a hair product range created by Frederic Fekkai, one of the most famous hairdressers today. The event was to showcase their new Fekkai Advanced range and some other new ranges.

Lisa Ferruggia, Fekkai's "hair connoisseur" was flown in to introduce us to the new products. Lisa was great! I'm sure I'm not the only she managed to convert. She even came round at the end, sat down with each of us and gave us some great recommendations.

She also gave us some tips, like when you're spraying hairspray on your hair, tilt your head to the side and make sure you spray underneath. That will help give your foundation hold and make sure you keep that volume that we all love so much!

The Advanced Collection includes three ranges that have been revamped:
Brilliant Glossing - which uses new, micro-encapsulation technology for an even distribution of shine and moisture.
Salon Technicolor Care - which contains Galanga Root, a powerful natural UV protectant and an intense color-fade complex.
Full Blown Volume - which contains plumping agents and Baobab leaf extract to deliver amped-up volume.
Each range includes shampoo, conditioner and styling products.

They are also introducing two newer ranges; Silky Straight (a three step system designed to give you sleek, straight hair with absolutely no frizz) and Essential Shea.

The range that I am most excited to try out is the Essential Shea range. All the products are specially formulated for coarse, brittle hair that is dry or damaged. My hair is all of that! The products are sulfate-free (yay!) and contain, of course, shea butter, which is well known for it's hydrating and moisturizing properties.

The range includes a shampoo, conditioner, mask and, the product I am most excited about trying, Tame and Style Pot de Creme. The Pot de Creme is a styling cream that can be used on wet or dry hair.

And of course, the obligatory food photo!

We were sent home with a bottle of Brilliant Glossing conditioner to try out. I haven't used it yet, but I have been smelling it on and off for a few days hehe..it smells so good!

Fekkai products are available at Sephora, Debenhams, Harvey Nichols and Faces. The products range from 85-250DHS. I was told that the new products should be on the shelves in about two weeks.

Are you a fan of Fekkai products? Will you be trying out any of their products?
