Review: Victoria's Secret Sultry Neutrals Palette
Victoria's Secret Sultry Neutrals palette. Approximately 65 dirhams, available at Victoria's Secret, Mirdif City Center
The palette is literally small enough to fit into your hand!
The palette opens up to reveal a mirror and three lipglosses (which I may have swatched a little too heavily!)
It has two pull out compartments, one for eye
shadows and one with a blush and bronzer.
We have recently gotten our very own Victoria's Secret store! My excitement kinda faded, though, when I discovered that the store doesn't actually stock that much stuff. It was mostly panties and pyjamas, along with their makeup and body lotion/spray collection.
I decided to go for this palette because of the size and color selection. These are great colors to wear during the day, and can be amped up at night. I like the selection of lipglosses and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the makeup.
Here are some swatches:
The bronzer and blush. The blush looks quite chalky here, but it actually blends out nicely on my face.
The lipglosses. They are very traditionally 'Victoria' Secret' shades, very nude and glossy. I am glad I chose this one because I don't actually have any brown toned nude lip products.
The eye shadows are nicely pigmented and great for creating a day-time smokey eye.
My overall view on the palette is that it is worth the money. It was actually cheaper than I expected, they had bigger ones for about 85dirhams, but I opted for the smaller one because it's the perfect size to keep in my purse. You get eight products in one, so it's a great space saver!
The quality of the makeup really surprised me, too. The lip glosses are really glossy, not hard at all like a lot of palette lipsticks can be. The eye shadows are silky and easy to apply and blend and the color pay off really impressed me. The bronzer and blush combo reminds me of my Nars Laguna/Orgasm duo. It's also great for that rosy, bronzed VS look!
