FOTN- Atomic Red Hair!
Yesterday was my gorgeous friend Aimee's birthday so we all popped down to Karma Kafe at Souq al Bahar. I haven't had a chance to really 'dress up' my new hair, so I took this as an opportunity to wear some bright lips!
I wore my new Illamasqua lipstick from in Atomic. It's a gorgeous matte fuschia, but it almost has a metallic sheen to it. It's just gorgeous.
No Flash (you can see my roots growing in quite a bit, thank you Biotin!! haha)
My hair has faded considerably since I dyed it about two weeks ago. Red hair is notorious for being just sooo high maintenance. I'm probably going to try and refresh the color tonight. It's going a little more brown-y red and I think I'd like more of a true red/blue red. I was telling my friends that the bright red hair kinda makes me feel like a superhero! hahaha

Atomic is actually pretty easy to wear. I layered it on top of my MAC Whirl lipliner, which is a rosey-nude shade so that probably toned it down a little. It lasted all night through out food and drinks. I reapplied it once in the middle of dinner and that was probably unnecessary anyway. I've never worn a matte lipstick before and I am now quite fond of it!
Also, please excuse my eyebrows and skin. I had a facial last week and it's brought up some blemishes that were hiding! And I'm trying to grow out my brows so they're a bit of a mess right now! haha :)
Karma Kafe was kind of a let down. The actual waiters were lovely, but the manager...not so much. It took ages for our food to get to us, and it didn't even arrive all at the same time. The food was good though!
My Yummy Sushi!!
They had a DJ (as do all "fancy" chill out Asian inspired restaurants) and the music was, how should I put this...CRAP. You don't have to lounge-out every song in the world. At one point, there was a Nouvelle Vague type of cover of The Ramones' The KKK Took My Baby Away!! So unnecessary. It just sounded so horrible. I think I must have said 'OMG this music is sooo bad' about eight times.
