Hair of the Day: Super Easy Updo for Curly Hair

I wanted to show you guys how I wore my hair up today. I was only running errands, but I was tired of wearing my hair down. I wore my natural curls out yesterday, and wanted a quick, pretty way to put it up.

All I did was spray my hair with leave in conditioner to revive the curls, twist up the back of my hair and pin it with bobby pins. Then I took the two sections left in the front (separated by my parting), lightly twisted them and then pinned them to meet the rest of the curls at the crown.

I think it turned out pretty cute! A quick and easy way to wear my hair when I don't want to straighten it and I want it off my neck. It's especially helpful during the summer because my hair is quite thick and I get so hot that I just want to chop it all off!

I was just running errands, so I didn't want to wear much makeup. My skin is super dry and dehydrated at the moment, so I am wearing my Stila Tinted Moisturizer (in Warm, I think), and some Nyx Wand Concealer. Ironically, the moisturizer is oil free, but it just makes my skin super shiny (and yet, I still wear it....haha!)

I am also wearing my Nars Multiple in Orgasm on my cheeks. It's such a lovely color and it builds really well. I can wear just one swipe (as I am here) and it just gives me a little glow. If I layer it a bit more, it shows up as a pretty pink color, but I will post pictures of that later :)

Is everyone having a good weekend?

  7. Leah, I've noticed that for me, my hair is a lot easier to put up when it's mid length. When it's shorter or longer, it's a lot harder to deal with!

Rosalina, Thank you! I have to be really careful, my curls are so fickle. If I blowdry my hair it just becomes a frizzy mess! hehe

Miss LV - thank you! :)

The Dollymix Diaries - Thank you too! :)

Adrienne - thanks! You know, I'm not such a big fan of cream blushes. But the Multiples are cool because they are a little drier than most cream blushes. So they work pretty well on my skin. I just swipe it on and blend :)

  21. I wish I had curly hair like you! Mine is wavy now, I think years of straightening pushed the curl out.

Love the multiple on your cheeks! I bought a mini recently, but haven't tried it out yet!

  22. Thanks! Mine is wavy in some parts, it just takes more coaxing to get it to curl properly. I love the versatility though :)

You need to try out that multiple, missy! You'll love it :)
