Global Village Mini-Haul

A while ago, I wrote about Global Village. It's like a big fairground/market type of thing over here where vendors from all over the world sell their stuff. It's a great place to buy things that  you won't find anywhere else.

Here are some of the things I bought the other day:

I bought these flat sandals from a Chinese vendor. I thought the bows were adorable and these would look so cute with a summer maxidress. They also had neon colors, so I might go back and get the neon pink ones for the beach!

A gold Hand of Fatima pendant. These are very popular in the middle east. They are supposed to ward off the "evil eye". I'm not a big believer in things like that, I just really like the way these look :)

Hand-made Red Clay, Fennel and Frankincense soap from Turkey. Supposed to "lift impurities and bring toxins to the surface and purify pores". I bought it because my skin was breaking out (turns out it was an allergic reaction!) but I will probably just keep these in the fridge for the summer.

Some sparkly bangles from India.I bought one like the single one last year, and I love it so much! I always get compliments on it and it's just so sparkly! I bought this one for my next giveaway, because I figured you guys love sparkles as much as I do! I also bought some skinny ones for myself cuz a girl can never have too many crystals! hehe :)

Close up of the bangle that I will be putting in my giveaway. It really catches the light, great for a night out

Did you guys do any shopping this week? My birthday is on Wednesday and I am FREAKING out. I love that I get a day where I get all the attention (hehe) but I just hate getting older. GAH!

  1. Cute buys :) Those shoes are adorable, gotta love anything with bows on! I love hand of Fatima jewellery! I just buy it because it looks nice too, I don't really believe all that business about warding off evil either. xx

  3. Love your new haul of items. I get obsessed with flea markets everytime I see one. It's just so unique and you don't know what you can find there.
I especially like the necklace and the soap look so different and cool to try out.

  4. Thanks Pam! That soap is pretty cool. I tried it as a mask, I just lathered it up and left it on for a few minutes while I brushed my teeth. I think it will come in really handy this summer when my skin starts to act up.

  8. aww hehe. I should've bought another one of those instead of the bangle! It's kind of at a funny length though, it hits right at my cleavage. My gf was like 'it looks like there's a hand pointing at your boobs'!
